Sanskrit Pearl of the day:
अज्ञः सुखमाराध्यः सुखतरमाराध्यते विशेषज्ञः
ज्ञानलवलेशदुर्विदग्धं ब्रह्मापि नरं न रञ्जयति
- नीतिशतक

Transliteration:
aj~naH sukhamaaraadhyaH sukhataramaaraadhyate visheShaj~naH
j~naanalavaleshadurvidagdhaM brahmaapi naraM na ra~njayati
- neetishataka

Meaning of the subhAShita:
Ignorant can be entertained easily, the wise can be entertained even more easily. But even Lord Brahma can not entertain the ones that are audacious due to the little bit of knowledge they have.

Commentary:
The ignorant, due to their lack of knowledge, submit to the knowledge of others.

The well learned, due to their knowledge, are humble and accommodating.

But those who are in between, with their little bit of knowledge, are arrogant and audacious. It is very hard to please such people. The author even says that Lord Brahma himself, finds it difficult to entertain such people.

Humility is the adornment of the learned!
